Additional guests: R500 per adult | R250 per child (per night)
Nestled in the heart of nature, our fully catered Lodge offers the perfect setting for families, friends, and group getaways. With a variety of chalets and shared spaces, it’s designed for comfort, connection, and a chore free weekend where we do all the work and leave you to the fun only!
Over the years we have seen that booking out all the chalets and conferencing facilities is an incredibly special way to spend time with friends, family and colleagues and so we want to try our best to accomodate as many of these gatherings as possible by reserving these dates for you and your group.
The Main Lodge accommodates 30 adults and 18 children comfortably, with a capacity to host up to 78 guests when including the Bunk House and nearby camping area.

All chalets are en-suite with showers, wall heaters, electric blankets, overhead fans or aircons, and tea stations.

The Bunk House is best suited to older children as it is situated around 75m from the chalets, and has several private bathrooms, including showers and changing areas.

Enjoy our famous buffet-style breakfast every morning, included for all guests.
GROUP BOOKING RATE SPLIT
If guests are paying individually, here’s a suggested per-room rate breakdown to assist with planning:

If you do need guests to pay or their own account, you welcome to mail us on info@elginriverlodge.co.za once you have checked availability on our booking portal and we can hold those dates for a limited period while you organise the team!

Private self-catering wooden cabin with amazing views of the Palmiet River, away from the Main Lodge, and perfect for families or groups.
Sleeps 3-4 families in four main bedrooms, each with an amazing view.
Common Area Downstairs:
- Fully equipped kitchen and living area with fireplace.
- A river water swimming pool, hot tub, beautiful gardens, and direct jetty access to the river
- Large outside undercover veranda with braai facilities and river view deck.
Downstairs Bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: King-size bed, en suite bathroom, and fireplace.
- Bedroom 2 & 3: King-sized beds.
- Bedroom 4: Queen-size bed.
- Three additional bathrooms downstairs.
The loft upstairs:
- Lounge
- Two double beds
- One Queen-size bed
- 2 Single beds
Summer Rates
- Weekends and Public Holidays: R12 000
- Mid-week (Sunday-Thursday): R8000
- Mid-week rates are not applicable for school holidays.
Winter Rates
- Weekends and Public Holidays: R9000
- Mid-week (Sunday-Thursday): R5000
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum 2-night stay over weekends, and 3-night stay over long weekends
UNSECURED access to the swimming pool and river. The farm road access to The Villa requires a Four Wheel Drive vehicle, or a vehicle with high ground clearance
